Below is an article from our two-part study abroad series this week. HSU student, Constantin Raether, talks about what he learned from studying abroad in South Africa and gives advice for future study abroad students.

Living and experiencing another culture and way of life is an opportunity few American students receive. Having previously traveled, I knew that studying abroad was something I wanted to do. My mother is a dual citizen of Serbia and Germany. With her and by myself, I have traveled throughout Central Europe, which exposed me to a way of life, that distinctly contrasts American lifestyle .
